We are excited and want to share our good news with you. A record number of MultiplyNYC interns are coming to work in Metro New York as additional staff. Our churches will have talented, called, capable and experienced people to help them with their summer programs and ministry. These students will come from many cultures and ethnicities. Some are returning after already serving here or in other parts of the US and the world. In preparation for their time of service, they have prayed and raised financial support.
They are assigned to churches and pastors who need them to work as worship leaders, children’s workers, youth ministers, ESL teachers and so much more. They understand the meaning of being flexible and doing whatever it takes to spread the Good News of Jesus throughout this city. They will respect our vision and strategies and truly serve to further our ministry.
You may recognize the name Gabe Thomas. He has served in New York before. He worked with Graffiti 3 in Brownsville, Brooklyn and with Rene Sahir at Father’s Love Church in Queens. We welcome him back with all of his experience and a heart for God. He will be on staff with the MNYBA as the MultiplyNYC Coordinator.
One thing that is always a result of this internship program is how God speaks to the hearts of so many and they become His hands and feet. Some who come will stay longer than the summer. They have already committed to serve in ongoing positions for the coming year and, who knows, maybe longer.
We have an opportunity to minister to them. We can show them how God is working through each servant in this city. We can share vision about serving God throughout the world, in any profession and every circumstance. Let’s be prepared. Pray for these young hopefuls who have already committed to serve. Thank you, God for this opportunity
