Miriam Webster's Dictionary defines "connectivity" as the ability to make and maintain a connection. Here are a few examples of our connectivity as an association:
>> The Haitian Bethany Baptist Church of Elizabeth is sending a mission team to Brazil to reach Haitians in that country. I visited with them this past Sunday and was blessed by their worship and passion for Jesus.
>> Iglesia Bautista Canaan of Corona, Queens celebrated their 38th anniversary last week. This amazing church has planted several churches in New York City, and sponsors two more in Ecuador.
>> MNYBA hosted an ESL Certification Workshop last weekend. People from as far away as Rhode Island attended and 34 were certified. Dawn Ford put this workshop together and she did a great job.
>> I had the privilege of speaking at the Crossroads Church of Staten Island Men's Retreat. There were 45 men who attended, their highest total in 13 years.
>> MNYBA is working with Redeemer Church City 2 City (RC2C) and the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association. With RC2C, we helped fund a study of evangelical church growth in Manhattan. We are also promoting involvement in CityServe and CityFest events this spring and fall with the Palau Association.
Speaking of connectivity, this is the theme for our Mid Year Meeting, May 16 at Crossroads Church of Staten Island. We are doing something different this year: We are offering seven workshops designed to assist your church in evangelism, disciple-making, and church planting. Check our webpage for more information.
