The New York City Metro prides itself on being the most diverse city in the world. It's one of the region's greatest attractions.
That same diversity, however, makes discipling people and planting churches quite a challenge.
Just how do you do that?
That's the subject of our next City Synergy at MNYBA on June 11 from 10 am until noon.
With us are two outstanding leaders.
Jean Feder St. Juste is the pastor of Haitian Bethany Baptist Church in Elizabeth, NJ. Pastor St. Juste will lead a discussion on multi-cultural ministry and how he is leading his church that way.
Jamie Rogers (pictured above) is a church planter on Long Island. A native of South Carolina, Jamie and his family have come to love this area. He will talk about the challenges, frustrations, and rewards he has learned, and how this will impact his church plant.
City Synergy begins at 10 am in the MNYBA chapel. All who register will receive a copy of Duane Elmer's book, Cross-cultural Connections: Stepping Out and Fitting In Around the World.
Lunch is provided as well.
We are thankful that this City Synergy is sponsored by Second Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri. Matthew and Leslie Creath, Missions Leaders at the church, will be with us.
